PhD Scholarship at School of Architecture and Built Environment in Australia, 2017

The School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Newcastle is offering a PhD scholarship to develop and test algorithms for mining big data sets of construction processes and costs with the intention of improving productivity. The successful applicant will work on the research project under the supervision of Dr Sittimont Kanjanabootra. The overreaching aim of establishing the University of Newcastle was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.

The University of Newcastle, informally known as Newcastle University, an Australian public university established in 1965, has its primary campus in Callaghan, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales.
Applicants should have IELTS minimum of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6 (for international candidates).

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded to develop and test algorithms for mining big data sets of construction processes and costs with the intention of improving productivity
Scholarship Award: ECR Higher Degree Research Scholarship covers both tuition fee and living cost allowance for both domestic and international students during their candidature.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants will
  • IELTS minimum of 6.5 overall with no band less than 6 (for international candidates).
  • Attained Masters by research or equivalent with GPA of at least 6 out of 7.
  • Background in construction engineering or construction management, preferably with very good IT background
Nationality: This scholarship is available to international and Australian candidates.
